The City of Fort Smith Geographic Information System (GIS) encompasses 93 square miles. The GIS is based on ESRI's ArcGIS 10.2 platform with data stored in SQL-Server/ArcGIS Server.
The spatial parameters of the Fort Smith GIS are as follows:
Horizontal: NAD83, Arkansas State Plane Coordinate System (SPCS), North Zone (0301), International Feet.
Projection: Lambert Conformal Conic
Vertical: North American Vertical Datum, 1988 (NAVD88).
